Aniqah and Amir chose to begin their lifelong journey together by celebrating on a lovely summer’s day at Trinity House in London, a venue popular for hosting Asian weddings. I was thrilled since they chose me to be their wedding photographer, on their special day. The least I had to do for them was to capture a breathtaking, filled with joyful memories, wedding photography album!
The day began at the bride’s grandparents home where she had chosen to get ready along with her immediate family and best friends.
Aniqah’s mother styled the bride’s hair beautifully in an elegant loose bun. In keeping with tradition, Aniqah wanted to somehow incorporate her mother’s wedding dress into her own outfit and did this by making a set of hairpins decorated with the lace from her mother’s own bridal gown.
The couple opted for a modern contemporary look when choosing their outfits. The bride wore a stunning Stella York lace white dress with a cathedral length. Teamed with a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals, Aniqah looked breathtakingly beautiful. The groom’s attire – a Salvatore Ferragamo tuxedo – complimented his bride’s outfit wonderfully.
The nikkah ceremony was intimate and performed at the venue in front of close family and friends. I felt honored to be there to capture, as their wedding photographer, such an important part of their new life together.
The beautiful wedding cake was made by @Lilybloomcakes and it tasted every bit as good as it looked.
Here are some of my favourite images from their wedding day:
